Story Mode gives a huge boost to your characters and a minimum of 50 steps between encounters.
It is the best mode for people who want to discover the story mainly and/or not be bothered too much with the fights. +::Thumbup

So does that mean the battles are easier with Story mode, ie you have more power with attack, etc? Obviously you still have to battle (and I do love battling, that is one of my favourite parts, I dont want to avoid that) but they are less difficult, it that correct? :)

Please explain the difference between Easy and Story Mode, many thanks as always.

Easy Mode has stronger characters and still allow you to pick your desired encounter rate (ie you can play in Easy Mode and still opt for a Maniac encounter rate lol).
Story Mode has even stronger characters and will pick the encounter rate as 50. :)

Hard mode: your characters are weaker (decreased stats), increased encounter rate, maybe less money. I'm right?
There are any effects beside this for Hard mode (like more animal kings in botm)?

No.
Hard mode is only: weaker characters.
All the rest is the same, and you can still pick the lowest encounter rate (40).

You can choose your own encounter rate in any mode but Story Mode.
Money is the same in any mode but Story Mode.
