why can't i beat the islander whale! am i not doing something right? my hits are barely making a mark the highest i can get is like 150 damage.. please help!

Which mode are you playing in?

normal mode

If nothing works, I recommend to try to paralyze it with Rayanne.
Also I recall some spells are doing decent damages to it.
Your best bet is to get lucky from the start, or you can also level up.
What is your average level btw?

right now my av level is 18.. i don't know if thats good or not i never escape from fights and i've walked through areas like 2 times each to make sure i'm not missing anything.. the islander whale is only the 2nd "boss" type monster i've played so far though..

i actually beat him!! thanks your paralyze tip helped.. for some reason i stopped trying to use it cuz it missed a couple times before it stuck! thanks!!
