The Chantefleur Tear

I accidentally sold this item and I read here that this item was required to complete a quest.

Is there any way I can get this item back, or is this item and quest lost to me now unless I start a new game?

I honestly do not think you can obtain another tear Do you not have an earlier save before the tear was sold??

Here's what happened...

I was hanging out in the item shop selling stuff and decided I''d check into what items I should hold onto.
This was shortly after beating the ghost.
Unfortunatly, while checked the value of the tear, I hit the wrong button and sold it.
I didn't even notice I sold it...
So I saved the game AFTER selling it without realizing it. :/

It's OK, it's just a sidequest, nothing important for the main quest.
You are likely to make other mistakes so if you really want a perfect savefile complete it once first and then use your notes to reach that (honorable) goal.

Yea, learn from my mistakes and plan for a future playthrough.

This game is fun so far, we'll see if I enjoy it enough to play through it again on hard mode.

Hmm, after looking around the forums here, I see that this question has been asked several times before.

Maybe we could add this or another topic like it as a sticky? Or maybe add something like this to the FAQ topic with the four questions?

that item is for aghost in the swamp search around and you will see the ghost the tear is from her dead son have karine in your party the ghost will give you a good item dont sell it and it will be quest complete
