No leather coat

I've killed the ghost, but haven't found the purse yet, but Jack doesn't say anything about giving me a leather coat. He just asks if I'm going back into the woods. What am I missing?

You have to talk to him while still in Chantefleur Woods not back in Pinerock - he's hiding behind some bushes near the exit to the left side!
