Hidden Switch

Hi all, I began playing MANH and I really enjoyed the game but I do have a question. Firstly I have the Steam version of the series, congrats for getting it on Steam http://imgur.com/j9o4GhC This was a hidden switch that I found in the Ancient Temple, when I activate? it the screen shakes but I cannot figure out what has opened. Anyone knows what this actually does?
