If you miss the forge the second time can the mirror quest still be fulfilled?
(I only bought the magical key and did not buy anything else because short on cash and forge now on vacation)

Can the mirror quest be fulfilled in normal mode?

I sold some fat frogs before getting exquisite dinner quest so unable to complete because I cannot find anymore(Is there only 6 fat frogs in the game?)
Does that quest impact the mirror quest?

The mirror quest can be done in any mode, and does not require the forge, or the fat frogs.

i tried that. the only one who can equip it is benoit though. i tried to see if i could use frogs, snakes, the light cap to blind her, sheep's wonder food to get sheep to follow me there and maybe push her into the mirror, tried to get the picture of the lady in pinerock who said the picture on the wall was of her and how good she looked in hopes of making the mirror lady jealous... i'm totally at a loss, but thats normal for me .

Coming back to the mirror lady, she didn't seem impressed with my Noble Ring and despite my best efforts I could not punch her with the Reflex Glove! I also thought of using Marine's talk skill in case it gave me some new dialog option - but again I was not successful! Tricky indeed!

the closest i've heard was the pepper box.....
