i tried to kill king ant for many times with diffrent stategies and beaten every time.
if someone killed him pls tell my how.
i dont understand, indy how come that when i paralize him or stun him he still manage to wipe me out. he should not be able to do anything because is he paralize... the king bee was piece of cake...

he is able to counter-attack, and this happens EVEN if you are paralyzed or stun - it does work for the characters, too

pitty. i ask from the other players who manage to kill him to tell me how he did it... tx

I killed him finally. I had to use almost all of my multiple heal items He can be stunned but not for long and he still counters. I had two people healing plus Jeanne doing her multiple heal thing. I'm not sure which spell it was but I think it was Hirado's white orb that did the most damage. And maybe Jeanne's attack.

I beat the little devil, but my levels were pretty high, and I waited till I got Herido. I always utilize my
fairy friend Jeanne. She can attack and kill all those regenerating little dudes as well as hit the king for
a few points. Then, keep healing the characters with potions, spells, etc. Takes a long time though, he
is the hardest one in my opinion.

Sorry I haven't been able to come here recently but it turns out real life can be nastier than your games and past few days were unexpectedly bad...

Anyway, glad to catch up on all the forum posts and as for this dreadful beast I was able to defeat it at levels 36, 35, 34 and 32. I had Jeanne and Marine healing, Benoit using all Hand skills, Karine using Defragmentation (it easily inflicts Armor Break) and Harido White Orb all the way until it dies. It was the hardest fight I fought - had half my party dead at some point but was able to revive them and heal them after killing the king and before killing the remaining ants! Great joy having that quest complete!!!!

What is defragmentation. And how come I don't have it.

That is imo the best hidden secret of the game!
Defragmentation is a spell that Karine learns. For that she will need SPs, which you get from activating crystals all around the swamp area (at least 30), then in the room with many chests in Sapphire Caves (the one to the right of the red flame) you will get an item, which I can no longer remember the name (something related to witches) but it works like a spell book and once you select it Karine will learn Defragmentation!!! Enjoy!!! It's useful to beat a few monsters!

I was in that room some time ago and don't remember what was in those chests. Looking at my item list I have no idea what it could be. Ok I just looked again before I posted this. I found it but it has nothing to do with witches lol Thank you though. I never would have guessed that was a spell

Sorry then, don't know why I associated it with witches, maybe the description says something about it or maybe I just dreamed it???!!!!
