It's possible no worry

Make sure to use Hirado's Barrier first.
Call Jeanne.
Use Marine's Red Orb often.
Use Hirado's Dust Cloud often to try and paralyze him.

Which mode are you playing??

You don't deserve to be left without help, so feel free to reply to this if you still dont win him! +::Thumbup

I was able to win by using:

Marine's red orb skill and Jeanne for mainly healing
Benoit's slash hand skill
Karine's desintegration skill(equipped her with reflex glove for double hit and ancient rifle)
Harido's Barrier fist and dust cloud skill

I opted to get the promotion outside the temple to see if that helped and to me it kept players alive.
Marine - Spirited soul
Benoit - Hand master
Karine - Baroness
Harido - Body master

Make sure to keep the other 2 demons down as much as possible because they were dealing the most damage.

3 of my characters had laser rifles which helped.

Make sure you find secret rooms which I found four.

I will play again in hard mode so i decided to promote the party next time I will try something else.

Cheers

i once answered post like this, it was right after i finish, now i dont rememeber very well.
i was playing normal mode in level 27.
i beat him quite easily.
the main problem is that many enemies keep poping up and u even cant see them well.
so use all the time jeane's attack.
the key problem is to stun them or paralized them.
and first kill them because they make much more damage than the jeani.
marine - first call jeani - 2nd round - red orb - and it does not matter what she do.
benoit - iron hand on the blue jeani 2nd - and all the time slach hand or iron hand
karien - scare of make them stun hopfully - and than fighing spirit and then - attack
hirado - always dust cloud - must catch paralize... and than white orb workes good on the eternal emeny and especially the blue guy.
again, the key for winning is stun/parlazized.
btw - equipped myself in laser cannon. may be this was helping...
if it is no getting the first time, keep trying.
good luck and tell if you succeeded.
i had luck and they did not hit me once... although i had to use phail.
good luck...

I just sent a reply, but it didn't make it...must have forgotten to submit +::lol . Anyhow, my strategy
is always to send out Jeanne first thing. I use her to attack because her heal is too unpredictable. This
helps take care of the regenerating guys who are the ones that get you. I had Marine as soul spirit, too,
and had her set to counter hit. Using the first round or two for status boosts is really important. Marine's
red orb boosts attack, and Herido can reduce Genie's attack and defense. Use healing potions if possible
and Herido's regeneration. Benoit's heal spell isn't very powerful I don't think. In between healing themselves, the guy's can throw out a spell or two, though Marine's best at just hitting him. Please don't
give up...I understand the frustration. Just save and take a break. When I do that, I usually come back
and win! Herido and I meditate for a while!!! HEHEHE. +::lol ;) +::heart

Thanks all for all your replies, that was really nice :)

bigfoot, i recommend you really use dust cloud (of Hirado) until it paralyzes the Djinn....
then keep casting it and if possible keep hirado's MP high enough

once the djinn is caught in a spiral of paralyze, he should not have a single time of respite

which mode again are you playing in?

then it's still better than hard

make sure to have karine use her boosting skill before the fight.

hae you been able to paralyze the djinn with hirado? it may be a 40% or even a 20% chance, but it still should happen after a while.
don't forget Barrier too, or you will be crushed.

Since I noticed someone mentioned the visibility (or lack thereof) of the extra enemies, I thought I'd continue in that vein of thought. I deffinately think that was a little awkward. The first time I did that fight I didnt even realize they were there. I thought to myself "where are these extra attacks coming from?"

Now, speaking of visibility issues (in a sense), I wanted to comment on the Status Effects display. It's awful that the promotions overwrite the display of any words telling you what effects you're afflicted with. You've always just got to remember who has been afflicted with what, or go to the status screen AFTER a fight to check to see if you have something. That's problematic and I hope has gotten/ is getting a fix (especially for any future games).
