I found a ghost but I can't get close enough to talk to it. To the right of the ghost, there's a passageway I can't jump into. I found a wide door with a green light in it, but when I try to enter, I hear a growl and get thrown back out. I found a closed gray door with some red writing on it, but when I try to open it, the screen just shakes. Also, I found what appears to be an open door between two purple gargoyles, but I can't enter it.

I got the red flame at least.

It seems like I've been all through the whole cave two or three times, but I can't find any trace of the monk. I don't know how to find him... Any advice?

Edit: Found him! Missed a jumping-off point in the lava area. Man, stuff is hard to find in this game.

Do you use the mouse? It's designed to be played with the mouse....

When you are in the lava room. Go south, go down the long ladder,then go left move forward after the lava. When U reach the new screen i believe you should go north.
When you reach up north you should find on the left 2 Magic red stuff and and on the right yo will find the monk.
After a long chat about his reason for being here he will agree to join you if you help him take a certain demon down

Hope you remember the entrance whith the light and scary noise. It will take you to the next step of the game: Ancient temple

P.S make sure have enough of item to restaure hp or at least enough cash and one person alive so you could go back to entrance to revive the dead ones.
Marline hide and fight spell helped me a lot to make it to the entrance of the temple.

@Indinera: Thank you! I did try using the mouse for a while. Unfortunately, I find the mouse interface for games like this awkward and frustrating. I may click where I want to go and if there's something in between there and my character, sometimes they go the wrong way and get stuck. Also, the "shoes" icon seems sketchy--sometimes it doesn't show up when I move the cursor over it. I realize that these are problems with RPG Maker, not Millennium.

@Maylly: Thanks! I was able to find it. I don't worry too much about dying because at the beginning of every RPG Maker game I give my characters super strength and lots of exp. If I couldn't do this, I wouldn't play these games. I just hate the experience of having to grind.

OK, I find 3 Lava rooms. I cannot figure out how to get to the ladder.

There is the one with just a doorway to the left of the Ladder Screen, then there is the room with the Pillar, and then there is the room where you get the red flame.

How do I get to the ladder?

I'm having problems in the same area. I've found the red flame, found the pillar of resistance, but can't seem to find anything else. Any hints? Thanks!

Do you have the jumping shoes on? There is one place. I don't really remember how to get to it that Marine will jump to get the red balls and I think it takes you to a long walkway that takes you to where you need to go. I'm not there right now. I should be in about an hour. If you don't find it by then, I'll send a screen shot.

I think it is south of the blue ghost that you can't get to.

I don't have the air shoes equipped. I'll try that and see what happens and let you know!

edit: oh, so I have to backtrack, and go back to where the ghost was?

edit again: omg, duh! I just found a path that led to that lava room....thanks!

There are two places that you can jump. One is close to the blue ghost. The other I'm not really sure about but I think it is close to the place where you find one of the Secret Rooms. I do know that it is not near the Resistance Pillar. I'm pretty sure that you have to go south of the blue ghost to find the way to Hirado.

I'll let you know if I find out different.

OK. I was wrong. From where you jump across the water and enter the cave, go straight until you come to a wall and then go south and keep going south until you come to some rooms with red writing on the walls. There is a place there where you jump then go around to a set of stairs going up and then jump across a wood beam and go south and down a set of stairs. That should put you on the right path the find Hirado.

I know about the one with the balls which I described as just a doorway to the left of the ladder screen. South of the blue ghost there is no doorway, but there are two spots you can jump one slightly to the right which takes you to a room with a pit and one slightly to the left which takes you to a room with 3 red symbols on the wall.

I cannot find any place to jump, and yes I have had the Air Shoes on since entering the cave.

Start at Map 1. Go in the entrance. Go to the wall on map two. Go South until you see what is on map 3, 4, and 5. Go to map six. Jump go around to wooden beam. Jump accross. Go down to ladder. Go down ladder. Go west to another screen. Jump to next area. Then go east to another screen. Keep going east until you get to Screen 15. From screen 15 it is straight ahead.

Thank you very much for the screen shots. I am at # 7 the doorway with the red balls to the left. I can jump to the rock platform in front of me but cannot find where to jump to either the balls or the walkway to get to the ladder. I am ready to pull out my hair...LOL!

You should be able to jump across the wooden beam. Right in front of Marine.
