I have a question about the last save of the chapter.

When we import to the next chapter will we have a choice of which armors, etc. we take with us? Will it all be imported or just the "clothes on our backs". This makes a great deal of difference since I would outfit my people with the items I wanted to carry over before saving. Will we be able to carry with any potions, foods (ie bear meat, croc meat, etc.) or other goodies?

It won't make any difference if you are having them on or not.

Potions and food will be carried over, yes.

I realise that the balance and gameplay is important so wanted to ask is there any decision on the transfer of gold? Or should I just max out potions and items ? (which I mostly have, geez it really helps with the very easy mode)

As of now I would say money is transferred normally.

I was sad to see that the skill Disintegrate didnt carry over for Karine. In fact I was sad in general that all that time I spent on the quests and orb gathering didnt mean anything in the second episode (although I can certainly understand why). It amuses me to think that I saved all those orbs only to turn them into stat points just before making my final save. The same thing goes for purchasing training from the guilds. Oh well. It's a lesson learned for the future.

The games have to be fairly independant from each other.

Am finishing now so can someone tell me if I should get best items trade in orbs and do training or not?????

If you've already finished the quests I would say you're better off spending your money elsewhere rather than improving your stats, since these will be reset anyway.
Buy restorative items, equipment, anything really... you don't need to save any money as you will automatically start episode 2 with 1000 gold and 1000 only! You can then sell stuff you buy now to get richer again!

Thanks Ladybug for prompt relp now if I can only find my way back out of the dungeons I can finish some side quests( I miss Gnoms arrows in Asguuuard to find way out )lol and reading maps backwards eeeeek

Promotions will also be reset in episode 2, so again it's something which is entirely up to you whether you want to invest on them now or not!
