catching fires

Something I don't understand. Isn't Hidaro needed to catch the fires? Cos I've tried before having him, impossible fire is too hot. Then at the walkthrough they say when Hidaro is pointing a cave it's the end of the game. Well once having Hidaro we have to go to the Ancient Temple, so then could I still gather the fires? or wait "take me higher"?

I also liked to kill some animal kings once being out of sapphire cave...

The big problem isthat I don't have alchemy balm!! and my 2 savefiles are after having taken Hidaro, as I can't get out of sapphire cave right now!! (with laser .. it's ok )

After defeating the Djin Hirado will join you and you can come out of Sapphire Caves area. He will point you another entrance but you don't have to go there straight away - you can go back and finish all the open quests you still have - fires, animal kings, etc!

After you find Hirado you can't get any supplies before defeating the Djin, so it is advisable to go into Sapphire Caves well stocked! If you're stuck you might have to go back to a previous save!
