I've just about had it. I've looked all over for the animal king. I'm playing in hard mode, but I still can't see an item to pick up and activate the fight. I read tips that said to enter, go down, then west, and that I'd see an item to pick up. I still can't find ANYthing. Any other more specific directions? I'm ready to give it up.

No dice, but I just figured out why. I read on another thread that Hirado has to be in the party before I can fight them. Jeebus. I've been combing Scarlet River for two hours
