In the last parts of the game, , who was your most reliable character in fights?

Karine hands down

With a good weapon (which I found ) Benoit is the best although he is still a wimp. Karine is second. I still have not found the best weapon for Marine and the jury is still out on Hirado. He came in late and was not very strong even with a pretty good weapon. Maybe after he levels up.

I think it is called the Ulf Scimitar and I found it in a secret room somewhere. It is cursed but so far it is the best for him and he is pretty good with it.

I should have done this topic differently, rather rate the characters /10 and explain why ^^
(including Jeanne as she is almost a character ^^)

I remember a RPG called Everlong where the characters had skills to summon help like Jeanne in your RPG game.

In Everlong the player was able to find stats boosters and skills upgrade for their summoned help.

Maybe in the next installment of Battle of the Millennium Jeanne is able to acquire new skills.

You do not want her too powerful.

Maybe mainly as healing and strictly as a support character and guidance for Marine and supporting characters during gameplay.

I think Karine is the strongest in terms of strength.

I have her equipped with:
iron fists
steel shoulder
jouvencelle
warrior mail
monk bracers

there was probably better stuff but I missed the forge the second time because he was on vacation.

Dee mentioned the ulf scimtar, and I've been looking for it every since I saw that. For anyone else looking for it, you can only find it after extenuating hours spent getting the map to the thieves den. The scimtar is in the secret room in the den. good luck to anyone else looking for it.

Well, I'd like to put in a word for Marine. Marine was always the first to strike and could strike twice. Plus she auto regenerated and so I never really had to worry about her hit points. Anything Marine couldn't take care of was passed on to Benoit (and the Saint Sword was even more awesome than the Ulf Scimitar). What those two couldn't handle went to Karine. My Karine had the "morning star" equipped and she seemed to miss a lot for some reason or another though her hits resulted in the highest damage when they made contact. Hirado brought up the rear, and though he wasn't so strong, he did have some great spells and resistance. He never seemed to die or to get injured even when the others were struggling. But, I still have to say that Marine took care of the most amount of opponents, and I relied upon her the most. Jeane was great in the beginning, but eventually her sparkles spell was just too weak for offense.

I can't really decide who was the strongest but I have to say Marine certainly is the one with the best attitude "lets go gettem "
I'm looking forward to seeing how Jeanne and Hirado develop in the next chapter. Love his way of talking and the fact that a minute fairy packs so much power
