Vairon's Wrath Volcano Box password

Hi can anyone help with this this password. I am in the volcano and i entered the cave and read a dead man's letter. It was suppose to be a hint i believe to the password for the chest or box that has the grapple in it. I have entered all kinds of three letter words but nothing will open the chest. Please i would like to carry on in the game but this is stopping me.

I need help. Will anyone answer my posts pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
