So, you need to have a lot of money? Just sell diamond nuggets.

It's got to be the money issue, cause I went in right after getting the 4th map piece,
but before getting the Gold, and he didn't attack, even with 6,000 I had saved up.
Then I got the gold and he hit me immediately from West entrance. He's all about
the money....that greedy fellow!!! +::biggrin +::biggrin

I finally got the tricky imp!!! I got up right to the end of the game...missed out on the Gigantine Pox, missed out on the the Tricky Imp and decided that I was not going to settle. Restarted the whole game and have throughly enjoyed this second time around. I rarely do repeats. Getting that darn imp is just so satisfying!

As soon as I sold all my diamond nuggets (and thus had over $50,000 in cash), there was the Tricky Imp!

Why? I think it's because we are supposed to sell off our valuables rather than taking them into MM3 with us.

It seems to me I had a lot of cash at the end of MM1 that didn't come with my saved game into MM2. I seemed to start with very little money in MM2. And as I'd sold off my collected valuables at the end of MM1, I didn't have a lot to sell. So this time I thought I'd keep my valuables in inventory until I got to MM3 and THEN sell them. Perhaps the Tricky Imp is intended to make us sell our valuables so we don't start the next game with a lot of sellable items in inventory. Just a theory.

But now that you got the tricky imp you can buy healing items etc to take into MM3. I went into MM2 with 99 of everything.

It's explained, he appears when you have a lot of money.

I´ve put Marine not to be first in the party, and have her regen every round, but the imp keeps attacking her only, I tried several times, but they´re just stuck in this fight. Marine is level 52. Does she have to have that spell you get after finding the charms? (didn´t find any of them)

Use Spells only on the Imp. No regular fighting because if you get in a swinging match you will lose. Call Jeanne and Cast Red Orb if you have it. Should wipe him out in one round, two at the most.

You could try another strategy: use defend for Marine ( first unequip her from all counter-hitting gear) and spell attacks for everyone else..Normally the imp will attack someone else ( i noticed that the next target is Abu)..Since your party is at their 50+ lvl you should not have problems :)

First time I fought him, I didn't know better and used Rush and he and Marine exchanged 'miss' for about 5 minutes before I quit and went back in again and used spells! +::lol +::lol
