I have the Book of Winter, but am not sure where it goes. Do I give it to the lady in the hotel or to the guild of the mind?

I gave the lady at the hotel the book, but cannot find the book anywhere near her. If you could be more specific, it would help tremendously.

I searched the room in back of her and the cabinet next to her and still no book (and no magnifying glass indicating any item).
