The main character enters the dream portal accidentally.....

The Portal's name is Dreamscape!!!!!!!!!

And the character enters there end meets a character there and when you are just going to grab a treasure Dreamscape appears again and you are back in the normal world wtih your friend from the dreamworld....

And the main character is curious about dreamworld and his/her friend wants to return there!!!!
So they start on an adventure to find Dreamscape
On they road they meet great friends!!!

Maybe they just sleep, when they sleeping they enter in the Dreamworld called Dreamscape, or maybe the Dreamscape is just a name, maybe the game name won't have nothing to do with dreams.

It makes me think that there is a man-made portal, almost a gateway, that the character opens and enters to travel to different worlds. Or it could be like a transporter from one world to another. Think Harry Potter stories and the port keys.
