does anyone know what the golden apples or golden sand does for you?
(dont know if it's really sand, just looks like sand on white paper to me)

oh, thank you. i've been passing up most of the sand because i did'nt think it did anything. i guess i should go back if i run short on money. thanks for the help

*edit* boy do i feel stupid. when getting the golden apples i was looking for my hp to fill up like the red apples. i did'nt notice it was permanent hp i was getting. i went back for them thanks to you!

Yup Golden Apples are also a +3HP permanently.

That's very helpful. I too was passing up on the golden sand because I didn't think it was doing anything, now I will go back and collect.

Thanks for the feedback, I thought the sprite was clear it was gold.
