Wondering what the trick is with the magic scroll? I "treated" it to get the verbage to show up and went to the three pillars in the Hall of So Many Doors, tried every combination of the steps, but nothing happens. I'm holding the magic scroll in my right hand while I'm hitting the pillars - do I need some other item in either of my hands? Which color (yellow, red and pink) represents which trait?

You bet - had all the instructions of how hard and where to hit and tried the sequence again and nothing happens.

What can I be doing wrong????

Step outside the room to reset the puzzle and re-enter and try again.

Make sure to exit the room to reset the pillars before doing your correct series of hitting.
