So... What's the deal with Galant Mask? I know you can finish the mode without it,but does it gives you something? And who should be wearing it?

Personally I gave it to Clochette and don't regret one bit! It reduces the cost of all spells to half and let's you recover extra 20HPs per fight but it makes it impossible for you to evade monsters, meaning they can never "miss" you. This is the reason why I didn't give it to Erin - I use her divert spell a lot and it's nicer when monsters attack her but miss!

I have put it on Athena both modes I have played. This is a spell casters item and Athena is the one with the big offensive spells and once equipped with the mask I have never had him(her?) hit anyone. Just casts spells.

I guess it all depends which strategy you use to play. I quite like Athena as a striker too, so I don't always have her casting spells. Also Clochette has very nice boosting spells but they're quite expensive so reducing their cost in half was very helpful! Even healing is just 1SP now, so a very good bargain!

Plus Athena already has her "Concentration" spell which allows her to recover more HPs from battles but yeah if you use her spells a lot I guess it still makes sense.

Only one who can't equip it is Peeboo, if he could I probably would have tried using it on him... He's usually the one ending up with low SPs... I guess I like carrots too much!

I put the butterfly ribbon on Clochette. It helped a lot at the end with the harder monsters. It gives her Pre-Emptive so she can cast her Boost spells before the fight starts and give them a head start on the fight.

That's a great strategy I would say.

See I put the butterfly ribbon on Erin and had her divert the monsters with the hit-back option on, while Clochette with the 500 agi energyzer boosts the others and then everybody attacks! The endless birds in Pimpon's dream were mostly gone in one round!

Athena + Fast Energyzer against the birds lol

Ah see but that still consumes SPs and Erin's divert is free!
