Peeboo's SP Recovery

Peeboo's SP Recovery

Postby Rabbit » Sat Mar 27, 2010 10:52 am

As I've been playing on harder difficulties, I've started to appreciate Peeboo's versatile Carrot Transformation spell more and more. This spell is awesome! It's a great way to earn more experience, to buy time for Clochette's healing, and to quickly neutralize dangerous glitches.

Now that I've been making more carrots, Peeboo is almost always out of SP. When I use restorative items, Peeboo doesn't recover as many SP as the other characters. Whether I use a mushroom, an orange, grapes, or blueberries, Peeboo recovers only 5 SP.

Is this...
- because Peeboo is a natural fighter, not a magic user, or
- because I am using the Mana Catalyst reward, or
- possibly unintentional?

All characters appreciate fairly differently the regenerative food. Peeboo appears not to specially enjoy the MP regenerative food. +::O_o

Ah, thanks!

That's too bad, as it's certainly the healthiest food in the game.

It will gradually build up if you don't use magic for a while...but only 1 mp per fight. I believe the
Galant Mask also builds up MP if you haven't equipped someone else with it. And, I haven't tried
this yet, but maybe if you try the Spirit Energizer on him it would help as that increases intelligence.
Hmmm...that's a good idea, think I'll try it!! +::biggrin +::biggrin Problem is, the carrot transformation doesn't work on everyone very well. +::Thumbup

BTW, with a name like rabbit, I'm not surprized the "carrot spell" would be your favorite!!!

But of course! And the best line in the game is "You are going to be a carrot!" +::biggrin

Back to the original topic of the post...

It turns out that Peeboo's low SP recovery I described above was not reproducible. I kept playing (Nightmare Mode), moved from Erin's dream to the Old Man's dream, and found Peeboo started liking fruit again. That is, except for the oranges, apparently he really does dislike oranges. When I returned to Erin's dream, Peeboo liked the grapes and blueberries there too. I can't seem to pin down why or how the SP recovery changed. I guess I'll just stop worrying about it.

Anyway, now I'm a happy Rabbit with boatloads of carrots again. :)

On a side note, now that I'm paying more attention to this, Clochette loves mushrooms.
