Where is This Cholette?

I have made it to within sight of Terry in jail but can't get past the last few gates - I don't know how I've missed this character so far, I've heard her referenced in a few cut scenes but I am totally confused. PLz help.

yes, gone through JAG, through the pit and out,past the door with the sesame key and down the stairs

You've missed a character
that is optional all throughout but at the very end. O___o You will find this character in Cheese Cave.

after scouring the cave i have come to only one gate i can not open over, the one you get to by jumping across the cheese arrows
am i missing something glaringly obvious?

got it lol, and here i have been hoarding all these powerups for a 4th character and not finding it because of that

As Indinera posted above, Clochette is in the Cheese Caves.
She looks just like a clover power-up.
