Am I missing a trick here? How do I get my team to jump across gaps and chasms? I would really welcome some assistance on this. +::sos

Hi! First of all, welcome here! +::clap

Then I'm not sure how far along you are in the game but there is an item that will allow you to do that but you will only get it very late in the game!
If you tell me which items you have in your inventory I may be able to suggest you where to go next! :)

Yup, you're not meant to be able to jump at the beginning of the game. ^^

Where can you have Erin acquire the skill to jump?

While you find places where Erin needs to jump early in the game, you don't get to the special shoes she needs until you're almost at the end.

What keys do you have in your inventory right now? And what kinds of rocks can you break?

I have the following keys:
Sanatorium key (I know Sanatorium means something akin to 'infirmary' and 'sick bay', but i'm not pretty sure)
Toy Key
Royal Key
El Cairo Key
Pharaoh Key
Mafia Key
Al Capote Key

Acquired the following items:
(I can't recall the name of the sword)
Nun-cha-ku (why it's hyphenated, I do not know)
Ocarina
Drum
(I can't recall the name of the leaves)
Boomerang
Sling
Magnum
Shuriken
Club
Shovel
(There may be some more, but I cannot recall them at the moment).

I can break brown, silver (or is it gray?), black (evil ones), and snow.

I've done the following so far, I think:
Defeated Jack the Ripper
Defeated Al Capote

Also, I'm not able to cross the 'mirror ghosts area' on the Baron's dream... any clue on how to accomplish it?

Great! You're doing really well! You've got a bunch more areas to explore before you're ready for the special shoes though.

First off, you'll need to explore deeper in the Toy Shop, by waking up the wheels in the room with the teddy bears. Your Al Capone key will allow you to find the item that will wake them up. That item is locked up back in New York. You'll need to equip it to use it in the Toy Shop.

What it is: BIG SPOILER!
Spoiler: show
It's the chinese gong.

Then, in your explorations in the Toy Shop you should find something that will help you cross that room with all the mirrors and ghosts...

Ah ok thanks. So I just need to equip the Chinese Gong in the Toy room and that's it?
How about the meteors? The moment I enter that realm, meteors come crashing through like mad. XD They hate Erin that much. :]

With the Chinese Gong equipped, you'll see that Erin has a new skill that you can use...

Well, I wouldn't say "that's it" because there's so much more to explore in the game, but that should get you un-stuck! :)

Regarding the meteors, if they're killing you, it's too late to go there. You're missing some optional power-up items, but nothing quest related. Next time you play the game, wait until you have enough money to buy everything, and only talk to the girl once.

Going to talk with the blue bear (that looks green) with the chinese gong equipped and voila? That's cool! OMG...
