What "gate" do I need to stand at? I tried different areas and nothing. PLS HELP!!!!

The gate is in El Cairo. Read the pillars, and you'll know when you're at the right one.

You have to stand on the central square, face in a certain direction ("contemplate the beauty of the dawn"), and wait for 60 seconds or so.

Where is it????
i'm stuck!! Helpp..

There are only four pillars in all of El Cairo that have something written on them (magnifying glass icon when you mouse over them). These four pillars comprise the gate you're looking for.

And I had been lying there for 60 secs each, and maybe more.. still nothing happened.. really stuck..

First of all, let me remind you that this part of the game is optional. You can continue playing even if you can't figure it out.

Some questions for you:

How many bits of parchment do you have?

What do you mean "each"? There's only one place to stand, in the center.

What direction are you facing while you wait?

I have all parchment bit..
I stand at the center.. at first..
and then I move between the two pillar.. top, left, right, down.. I've tried all..
and I stare down, I stare left..
I had tried all possibilities.. still no hope.. had wasting 1 hour there, only to find were is it..
I've been stuck, I can't find any other way to continue my adventure.. been to al capone, had defeating dreamlord *what his name, in front of pharaoh*, had defeat Jack the ripper, had found edna, had been looking for cheese key, not found clochette yet *sigh*
I wonder what should I do next..

Clochette is in Peeboo dream, have you explored the Vampire's dream? There you find some Saint Cross there. With the cross you can explore the dream of the evil man on the Crypt 6 of ricks dream.

About the parchment, sand here and wait.

@Squall : I've found it at last!! But what I found wasn't what I'm looking for.. I was stuck.. and yes, I had gone to those places..
Argh.. this game is confusing me!!! I can't help but wandering for hours.. still no hope.. T_T

and how many parchment Bits?? whether we should have all had to stand in the center of pillar?? I have only 2 parchment Bits, "of the beauty of the dawn" and "stand at the gate"

Go to Lostham, enter Old Man's dream, walk through London almost to the end - the house will be the first one after the last bridge!

Do you have El Cairo's key?

I can't walk through until the end of london. if I walk to the south. As many time i try to the south, I usually game over. thats warn about jack the ripper. I dont understand whats the step must I do?? I don't have el cairo key too...
what sequence of steps should I take first??
