Using feather mattress and bird nest

I have read all the forums re: the feather mattress and the bird nest to make the cocka cocka and have followed the walk thru, and still I cannot get it to work. please help so I can move forward. Thanks in advance.

Use Feather Mattress as an item like you use healing items. Type "BIRD NEST" to the window. Follow the events.

I have and have done what the walk thru has said to do and what other people have typed and it still is not working for me any idea's. Very lost

Do you have the bird nest? Look to your inventory.

Yeah,make sure you have the bird nest.I did'nt get the bird nest,the second time I played and so no COCKAAA!

Thank you all for your replies, Yes I have both the bird nest and the feather mattress. I have tried to use the mattress and typed in bird nest, birds nest , bird nests, and feather mattress. and none seem to work.

Strange... It should be BIRD NEST... Where did you find the bird nest? Check again.

I found the bird nest on the second screen going towards the 2 lizardmen standing in front of the pillars going into metropilis.

Hmm.....Bird nest,checked.Feather Mattress checked.....I don't have a clue I have an idea....Maybe replay from an earlier save file be4 you got the mattress or the bird nest ?

That means playing from the biginning of Chapter 1. Ask Indy. Or If you have Bird Nest, Cocka-Cocka will hatch in Chapter 2 without Feather Mattress so no problems.

But that'll take a loooooooong time ...Cocka helps you a lot at the start AND you can level cocka up real fast

But you'll get Cocka. And you can level him up too. So not much loss.
