Hi Indi,
I took about 34 hours - Normal Mode
Secret Rooms 21/21
Relics 8/8
Bosses 34/35 (missed one optional boss)
Exit Danger = 0
Left Dungeon = 1 - (not sure when that was but may have been Doom's Warehouse where I was having too much fun, or perhaps Naadhir and Dante's Castle where I became a bit confused)
Rest too much = 0
(Cowardice Points: 1)
* What was your ending score? 88/100
* Your opinion about Sasha? Level 60 - amiable, laid back, and kind. He made a surprisingly good team leader - plus he looked funky hot
* Your opinion about Pyrotess? Level 34 - really got to like Pyro with all her fiery snark, and missed her when she was sidelined for a while in the game. I kept thinking: "What would Pyro say about this?"
* Your opinion about Bubble? Level 58 - cute little odd ball and a handy member of the team.
* Your opinion about Alizeh? Level 48 - beautiful and strong team member. Her Gale could just wipe an enemy completely out. Impressive. And the only one who seemed to be a weakness for that goldfishy thing that Lady JJ noticed. That one was tough!
* Your opinion about Tesla? Level 47 - elegant and strong team member. With her story, that Doom guy and his incredibly dysfunctional family had really done a number on her, so it was great to see her come into her own. Her Hyperion was almost a sure fire way to paralyze a number of foes, and loved her Lightning Room that at its highest level actually fully revived dead characters. Cool
* Your opinion about Dante? Level 22 - a somewhat pathetic little man; a footnote in the story who met an unfortunate early end.
* Your opinion about Tabatha? Level 45 - in some ways unexpected, although she was surprisingly powerful for her level, and the artwork for her magic was just a little disturbing which was a clue...
it was a bit of a leap to see this small cute little girl as a cackling villain. I kept expecting her say, "Sorry, guys, just kidding...I've been taken over by an evil super-elementalist/bureaucrat called Valerian"
* Your opinion about Valerian? Sneaky little bureaucrat reluctant to get his hands dirty. I kept expecting him to become more involved but he really was a "behind the scenes" manipulator. I wonder what his deal with Pyro was - there seemed to be some history there?
* Who is the strongest Elementalist (Sasha-Pyrotess-Bubble-Alizeh-Tesla), and why? And the weakest?Strongest - difficult to say as they all had strengths. For sheer power, probably Sasha. For strategic and devastating hits - Tesla was amazing as was Alizeh.
Weakest - possibly Bubble except the team needed her backup and support to survive.
* Who's the prettiest, Pyrotess, Bubble, Alizeh or Tesla? Probably Alizeh in terms of sheer beauty, Tesla so elegant, Pyrotess a force of nature, and Bubble so CUTE
* What was the strongest enemy? that goldfishy thing (Rapisaurus??), and the Canoses and a weird little fire thing.
* Your opinion about the characters' artworks? AMAZING and very beautiful - thank you
* Your opinion about the story? I found the story so absorbing that I started wondering about other possibilities (e.g., relationship between Valerian and Pyro) - so it really came alive for me.
* Your opinion about the graphics, sounds and atmosphere?Loved it all except when the music became "techno" or whatever it was as I found it grated on my every last nerve. Other than that, I actually did enjoy the music as it was different and varied.
* Your opinion about the gameplay? Ran so smoothly but as Lady JJ said you really do need the guide for this game. The battles were challenging and required you to think and strategize. I'm not sure I'm totally keen on being funneled through the dungeon areas without being able to more freely explore but as long as I could go back to a previous save when I'd missed something or stuffed up, I was happy.
* What's the game's best/strongest sides? The story, game-play, character development and artwork.
* What did you think of the ending?Funnily enough, I did not find the battle with Gargantor that hard once I could trigger the vortex. It was the series of battles afterwards with his little minion and all her cronies that took a while. I also liked a final look at the characters as the story wrapped up, with the hint of a possible sequel.
* How does this game compare to past Aldorlea epics (Laxius Force and Soul, Millennium, The Book of Legends, Witch Hunt, Forever Heroes etc)?Well, that's a toughie...the epics like Laxius Force and Millennium capture our imagination with an epic tale that can span over 4-6 episodes. I do feel there is room for a sequel looking at Alizeh's story but I'm not sure if there can be a wider and more far-reaching tale to tell with the other 10 of Gargantor's buddies???
* Would you like a Vortex sequel? Absolutely

What, am I silly?...of course I would not knock back the opportunity to play another great Aldorlea game with some pretty fabulous characters.
Thank you for another AMAZING game,
MerryX
