SUMMARY:

Kael and Elara Briarstone are the last survivors of their family. Although their parents, the King and Queen, triumphed in the war against the Wraith Army, they paid for that victory with their lives.

The Wraith Army rises again, slowly but surely, and it falls to Kael to wear the Crown and lead his people to victory once more. After spending the last decade preparing for Coronation Day with the help of his sister, Elara, they will soon discover that the Wraith Army is much closer than they had anticipated.

I have just downloaded the DEMO and it will only open in window mode not fullscreen - even though it's set to fullscreen. I have tried the usual Alt-Enter but no luck. I have noticed this happening with other games since a recent Microsoft Windows 11 update.
Do you or Indi have any suggestions how to fix this?

Merry, I have seen that too I went into options and there is a full screen mode
that you have to switch to

Also the ALT + ENTER combination can work differently (or not work at all) depending on the graphics card you have. That said if it was working before and suddenly stopped, yeah that's kinda strange, but not beyont what windows can do.

I find if I leave it on full screen it comes back full screen if u have close it all the way

That is weird, MerryX. What Indy mentioned about the graphics card is true but since the full screen used to work for you and suddently stopped, I'm not sure what could be causing it.

Computers regularly get glitchy. Windows in particular is a very unreliable operating system.

@Blumyst, Anima, and Indi - Thank you all for responding. I have usually had no issues with Windows but this particular update was a terror in more ways than one - it screwed with all my settings and threw out my personalised background. I was so pissed off!!! And it was totally clear it was the update that caused the problem with the fullscreen.
I had been in the middle of playing Deadly Sins 2 and it stopped being able to go into fullscreen. So, I uninstalled the updates (although they warn you not to) and was able to finish the game in fullscreen. I then thought "Oh well, I better install the updates" - and poof, no more fullscreen for Deadly Sins, The Shattered Veil, and a few others. I can play Grindstone, The Violet Kingdom with a larger expanded (maximized) screen, and I can open Night of the Stars and switch to fullscreen. So, it works for some games but not others
@Blumyst - I did go into the options and ensured The Shattered Veil was on fullscreen, but it made no difference

So, since this is way outside my knowledge and skills - and my daring-do to just press buttons randomly, I have my friendly IT guy coming tomorrow and I'll let you know what happens.
At this point, I can't play the game in window mode. It's totally no fun at all

So for anyone else experiencing similar issues, it is clear it’s the latest Windows 11 update HP24 that has caused the problem. To fix it, my IT guy needed to go back to the previous build (HP 23) in order to resolve the issue, and I’ll need to wait and see if Windows fixes it with the next update maybe sometime next year…
The problem seemed to be particularly with the games with a red dragon icon.
In the meantime, I can now play all the games in full screen again

Hi Anima,

I have now successfully finished the game - took about 7 hours and leveled up all characters to 30-31. The game played smoothly after I had sorted out the Windows update issue. The art work for the characters was beautiful and made it visually a pleasure to play. I found the dungeons were a bit different with pockets here and there, and it was easy to miss chests if you weren't careful. I had a bit of a laugh about the names and descriptions you gave the weapons.

Overall, I think it is an okay game but I felt it was a little too simple for me with no surprises, detours, or plot twists - no side-quests, the story-line didn't really pull me in, no character development, and I thought that it was probably a bit too costly for a very short game. It was a bit disappointing as a number of your earlier games I have enjoyed (e.g., Hymns of Resurrection, Shadows of the Night, Knights of the Throne, The Last Seal).

I'm not really sure what to say now except please keep bringing us games - just make them a bit longer (although they don't need to be sagas!), with side-quests and a great story with interesting character development to draw me in. Do include you wonderful graphics, music, and I enjoy your humour

I have been preparing the material for a new set of games, to be released next year and from now on I will focus on bringing a more complete and unique experience. All the way from the visuals, to the sounds, gameplay and contect. Including side-quests, secrets, treasures and everything you have talked about.

ok, Im at shattered souls and Ive killed alot of the enemies all the enemies here and the other places but I still
cant kill the boss. My levels are all 24, what do I have to do to kill it???
