Can this be opened or will it always instantly kill the whole party?

Just a yes or no please, if it can be opened I'll work it out myself.

the only trap chest i found was when u first came in the cave to that one i lever up in mid 50s to bet it

Yes, the trapped chest at the very top of the Atlas Caves can be opened, without killing your party. +::YAY

I have an idea and I'm going to try that out when I get back up there. My 1st idea (used from a previous LF game) didn't work. I forgot about another way that was used in a different LF game, and I'll try that next.

edit: ok, I haven't figured it out yet. Do I need

You just need a specific hero in your party to disarm the trap. Now who's good at things like that, before you peek at the spoiler.

You can re-visit the Atlas caves anytime you have access to Rillia, just talk to Kevin the Explorer.

The Hero who disarmed the trapped chest for me was...
