It's called the Forge and is on the first world map - its hidden until you go there: try searching the world map with your mouse! And yes the little fella comes up with some pretty decent stuff!

I'm also having a fresh start with the game and I'm trying to go there more often than I did last time (have a suspicion mellowkat might have been referring to him having the picklock for those closed chests - although reading her post again maybe not as this guy was there the minute I first set foot on world map coming out of Green Grass village... ), at the same time I'm keeping my previous attempt updated with every new quest I find/complete in new attempt in order to see how far I still am from the 40 (38 as I am still redoing it on normal mode - next one I'll try the hard core version!).

may be dee will tell us where this shop it, i heard the key to the chest is there

I found it, but there's no key there. From green grass, on world map, keep going East till you run into the
mountain. There's a little indenture there you can walk into. The problem is, he carries different stuff
after different events, and I didn't get him till I was through with most quests. He may have had it early
in the game. After a while, he goes on "vacation". I think he permanently retires!!

So, he'll come out of retirement in next chapter? Hmmmmm, didn't see that one coming...he he . Dikla, the key is there, I just missed it as I didn't find it till late in the game. I'm betting that elusive
mirror is there, too....right Indy??? I've already broken all the mirrors in my house, but can't figure out
how to fit them into the game!!!!

I got 5/6 different items from him and right before he retired I got a reward for being his best customer. And a magical key is one of them
