help how do u beat that genie

hirado's barrier is a good start

He's a toughie!. The first thing I always do is call on Jeanne, and, I usually have her attack and heal my
characters themselves as needed . That's because you don't really know who she'll heal unfortunately. Then, I use status boosting spells, like Marine' red orb to increase attack stength. I forget what they are called, but Hirado can decrease enemy's defense and attack power, and Benoit can heal or use his blue orb. I don't remember which orb hits him, but one of them will hit him for a fair amount of damage...I'm thinking it's Karines black orb. I was about level 28-29 I believe. It takes patience though, hang in there!
