Items List and Stuff Therein

Postby daisym » Fri Oct 02, 2009 6:03 pm

I'm running around like a maniac picking up tons of stuff, and if I go into Item list to use anything, most of the time the items are greyed out and not useable. on what is the usability dependent? the choice of equipment? the level of character, skills? If I can't use the items, whats the use of having them. Am I schlepping them about for use in episode 2... that's a waste of energy. There should be a great big carpet bag where one could park such stuff.. Or, as I said, maybe I'm missing something, and my equipment is not set correctly etc. Someone give me a small hint please. Can;t find anything in the documentation.

From the Millennium manual

Items have many uses, including replenishing your characters' health and magic, use in battle, and more.
Select Items in the Menu (top-left part).
Some items can only be used during battle, some outside of battle, and some are always unavailable. Items that are unavailable are shown in greyed text.
Some items are used simply by selecting them from the Menu.
Some items, such as healing potions, require a target. Select the item from the menu, then select its target from the list of active players. Sometimes the target is ALL party members.
Many items can also be sold, which is useful if you require gold. The selling price of an item varies depending on who you are selling it to. Some are nice, some are greedy.

I'm thinking that some items may be for character to come. I know that one store sold armor that could not be equipped by any of the characters that we have now. Maybe that's the case.

Although I did wonder about the Power Bracelet. It says it increases Marine's Fist Power but she can't equip it.
