ok I told sandra I wanted to enter it...how do you get transported to it?

I believe the theory tournament begins after you advance the main quest along far enough. If you check your main quest and advance it another step, there's a good chance the tournament will be available then.

I know other's have had a similar issue in the past, and I believe simply advancing the main quest along solves it. Not sure what causes the issue though. Is it a version difference? Import vs. non-import? I dunno.

i'm doing my last playthrough of lf2 before lf3 comes out and i'm where sarah goes off with the animals and i still have'nt been able to do this quest yet. i've played a few times up to this point and i'm sure i should have finished this quest before now. i updated to version 1.7 i dont know if this makes a difference. i'm using the walkthough to make sure i get everything but i cant see anything about fullfilling this quest in the walkthrough. anyone know exactly when this quest gets done? i'm afraid i wont get to do it now unless it's still fullfillable in lf3.

After you tell Sandra that you want to do the tournament go out of the guild and come back in and ask about the quest again and you should immediately be transported! If you are already with Sarah alone with the animals then you have to go back to a previous save to complete this quest in this chapter! I hope this helps everyone!!

thanks EmeraldEyez. i'm such an idiot sometimes. i was getting the theory tournament and alchamy contest quests confused. i did do the theory tournament.
