I'm like bodeia, and like the keyboard approach....it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks in my
case!! HEHEHE But, Jaybot, you're excuse was such a HOOT, I couldn't stay mad at you!! Oh, BTW
there's much less "flickering" in this game than in last!! That is a major improvement for me!!!

titaness... Great, less flickering! Hope that makes up for the keyboard/mouse control devious switch I pulled :)

Actually there are many tiny changes I made which only the discerning eye would find... and probably hate (no enemy HP anymore?! ahhh!), but they're all on the way to the greater good (that nifty yellow font for all major messages, removal of many silly windows and other messages, etc), I promise! It's all part of the evolution of the menus, user interface, and player experience, so to speak.

Let's just hope I can have it all *just* the way everyone/I/neighbor's-dog wants it by the time I'm finished with Episode 4. :)

Okay +::Thumbup something to look forward to +::biggrin In the mean time...I'll just make sure I'm near the entrance and have all the monsters come to me +::biggrin that way, if I'm too slow clicking for the item menu, I can run out the door  +::biggrin

I'm thinking, really considering... in the next Episode to have stationary monsters. I know that sounds silly, but if ye old Chrono Trigger and Pokemon games could get away with it, and do it gracefully, I might just be able to pull it off. Besides, I'm sure I could make a few new jokes out of it :) That way you could simply walk up the the enemies when you're ready to do battle with them.

Really, Duncan's party is so strong by now that they probably look like the roaming monsters to the enemies really :D

I'll stick with teasing for now ;)

But I will say I am already in the planning phase for Episode IV (possibly the final Episode) :)

Final XP level...? That is an excellent question. I'll probably round it off around 55-60, but I dunno, now that you mentioned 99... :P

Don't worry, AuntIggy, if all goes well (and I don't end up with a heartattack or worse) with the final Episode, I will be more than happy to make more Arvale games, with more Duncan, and more Wheelbarrows :)

I have been waiting for number 3 as I enjoyed 1 and2 very much. I downloaded it and can"t get my keyboard to work. I hate using the mouse for games and looked under the options menu but couldn't find any help. What am I missing?

GrannyC: I'm terribly sorry :( The latest episode is indeed mostly mouse controlled, but you can still control 90% of the game with the keyboard. Walking with directional arrows and interacting with objects with the enter/space key are unchanged and should work as they used to.

Aside from accessing the main menu with the Escape key, all menus and battles are still controllable by the keyboard as well, yet be sure to keep the mouse cursor away from any of the current windows or it can interfere (if you're not playing in full screen, you can simply move the mouse cursor completely off the screen).

The one thing you can't do with the keyboard is have direct access to access the main menu with the Escape Key as the previous episodes did. To access the main menu, you must use the mouse (by moving the cursor towards the top of the screen and the pop-up menu will appear, which looks like this: http://jaybot7.com/misc/mouseover.html). Once you select any of those options it will take you into the more familiar menus which can again all be controlled by the keyboard as normal.

I'm sorry for changing the controls around on you, and I'm doing my best to keep everyone's control schemes happy. Putting in a control scheme option in the options menu like you suggested is a wonderful idea! So I will do my best to put that into the next episode.

However, if it's a deal breaker for the game, I completely understand and I'll be happy to give you a refund if you wish. Just shoot an email to support@jaybot7.com and I'll do so as soon as possible.
