WOW! Anyone that has ever played a rpg knows that not all creatures drop gold. when none of them did, you'd think a light would click on! Need cash better go to the store and sell this honey. I bought 5 biscuits to begin, before I realized what was going on. Later I bought a couple balm, some MP items and the items from forge. Let's not forget those little green pouches scattered around, for a boost. The poor girl from the village, became a somewhat wealthy girl.
This comment was uncalled for! You can tell this person is lazy. To come to the forum with that remark and not even use the forum. The topic of no gold dropped, has been mentioned several times! Well 1 bad apple won't spoil this whole bunch!

Just my opinion.

When I first started playing the game and realized that there is not as much gold to find(except for some certain areas in Green Grass where you find gold) at the beginning for me was good because I knew that this would be a challenging and fun game.

Like I said in other posts sometimes getting less is better. I have played other games where you have so much money you can buy whatever you want. This really takes away from the challenge and game play.

If it were up to me I would want to see even less gold and make it even more difficult to find it. Maybe I am just nuts.

This game requires the player to explore and find things which for me is my favorite part of this game. You never know what you are going find and discovering a ring in a forest and secret areas you were not anticipating makes the game that much more fun to play.

Oh well that is my 2 cents worth. +::biggrin

You all know how it is. You put so much effort creating something and then someone else rips it apart after only spending a few minutes with it. In school I felt a lot of teachers did that with some of my book reports. I spent all that time reading a book and writing a big essay on it and it comes back to me the next day filled with red marks.

I'll bet a lot of critics are like that, and I'm talking all kinds: book critics, movie critics, all of them.

OOOOOOOOH... You don't want to see ME get started on Kyuubi! But in an attempt to remain a Southern
Lady like our beloved Grannies, I will say only this to him/her : I truly pity you. It must be tough going
through life so ignorant, and so unaware of being so. People who attempt to belittle others, are only doing so due to a deficit within themselves. Indy, opinions such as this are unworthy of your consideration! +::grrr

I agree with pretty much all of the responses to Kyuubi. Firstly there is a civilised way to frame comments and this shows a lack of education and ill-breeding to have communicated in this manner.

Secondly, its not that hard to accumulate funds. From someone who likes to play in very easy mode such as myself, Marine became a wealthy peasant girl rather quickly and only required a modicum of effort plus she levelled up beautifully.

The original remark by Kyuubi demonstrates plain laziness and typical of a lot of people who expect everything handed to them on a silver platter.

I never really had a problem with monsters not dropping gold coins... It's true that making money might, at times, be slightly harder than in Indy's previous games, but I think that just adds to the gameplay balance (and it looks slightly more realistic... after all, there's no real reason why monsters should drop gold coins unless they swallow lots of wealthy travelers. )
