Hmmmmm, the rules say only humans. But do the rules also say everybody can fight only once?

the rules are as follow, each fighter fights all the other ones in duel
so jack or james would have to fight all 13 of mystrock in duels

Woah, now that's a biiiiiiig number of fights. I SOMEHOW missed that fact (or maybe pushed it out of my mind +::biggrin

). I always thought every of their 13 warriors has to be beaten just once!

And immediately I change my mind. Maybe the final showdown will NOT happen and Marine finds another way to succeed! +::biggrin

It's a lot of fights but it's supposed to take a whole day for dawn to dusk. And the fights themselves are fast since it's 1 vs 1.

And immediately I change my mind. Maybe the final showdown will NOT happen and Marine finds another way to succeed!

Thinking of the ArenA in LF - that must have been about 250 fights in total. (There have been 5 fights per round, no? Again I'm mixing all those competitions in my head ....) I took me AGES to win with almost all charas!

Phew, you could probably make a whole game with only the final showdown! +::biggrin

oh well, you dont have to WIN with all the charas if the showdown does happen
you "only" have to win more times than mystrock +::biggrin

no, there are 169 fights total, so you'd need 85 wins. +::shhhh

love that pic lol that's kinda the idea.
they are each in their "camp" (side), and around them are the spectators (80,000 total).
the sage calls the duellists by their names, they enter the ring, fight and then the sage assesses the victory of one of them.
the score increases this way.
of course your side is supposed to encourage you but the spectators make the much noise lol

it can be a quite exciting, yet anxious moment when your name is called and everybody is watching you going into the ring. especially if LD is waiting on the other side! +::Annoyed

yeah theorically if you are winning 85-0 you claim victory and the showdown is over. +::wizard

That sounds very elaborated already! +::lol

And it sounds interesting because it leaves room for a lot of possibilities.
The way I figured it to be before (13 duels only - one of mine only against one of them) it would have been necessary for ALL of them to succeed. This way it isn't, so the weaker charas could also fail with not too much damage.

But +::shhhh

or DS will scold again for going off topic cuz this is about MM5 already! +::lol

well yeah the goal is to have the greater characters balance out the, er, less greater ones xD
