I got to the top of the manor and clicked on the picture but the gate is still across the door that leads to the witches lair. How do I get it off? I have all the switches switched on.

You need to get a key - did you find the place with all the spiders in it?

look for a crack in the wall in the room thts after the room with the kid learning ,click the middle coloumn,then the gate opens then get the key from skeleton dude,then go through middle door in main room,then click on crack in the wall and enter and theres the spider room ^^
