what goes with this game? where is Seiman?

I am having problem after problem with this game. there are so many items and quests that i can't complete. I didn't have any trouble in the first games. I'm in chapter 13 and finished going throught the fortress with coryool, I have met up with Random and now I am suppose to go back with Seiman but there is no Seiman. so now if anyone can tell me where to find him since the caves, which I couldn't get the chest with him because he always died (he is at level 67 he was the only one that died when he opened the trapped chest) yes he was fully rested when we divided up. . I have followed the walk through to the letter. maybe that is my problem.
