trapped chest in kobold house

i followed the walkthrough about the trapped chest in kobold house. Seiman is now in my active party but everytime i click the chest, he just say that it is a trap and i was given an option whether to open it or not. If i chose to open it, the chest explodes. How can seimen disarm the trapped chest? He is at level 42 as of the moment. pls help.

I'm not quite sure, but I believe that you higher level increases your lockpicking skills and there are some items with "+lockpick" stats. Unfortunately I don't remember exact names, it has been quite some time since I played LF3. But I do remember that I kept changing equipp for Seiman when disarming traps.

I've checked it and I can confirm - it's called Universalis Key. (You can buy it in Thieves Guild.)

Then you need to level Seiman, there's no other way how to increase your lockpicking, at least as far as I know.
