what does the miracle key that you get from alicia if you dont bite her do?

The Miracle Key increase a lot of parameters of the party member that is equiped.

Miracle Key: 1PD, 5MD, 69MN, Protects vs. Holy/Dark/Legend, Protects vs. Exhaustion/Poison/Pox/Plague/Venom/Ice
The defense is pretty negligible, and there's better equipment when it comes to MN+, though not much. The real reason you would use it is the elemental and status protection.
