screen resolution changing

Every time Laxius Force goes into full screen mode my screen resolution changes from awesome to crap, my desktop icons are enlarged, and all sorts of annoying visual downgrades are taking place. It's very easy to fix this that's not the problem. the problem is i have to fix these resolution issues every time i either turn on the game or switch to full screen mode. does anyone know a way i can get the game to stop changing my screen resolution?

is it possible for you to just launch it in windowed mode instead? would that help?
