At which point of the game exactly did you go back there?
You said before completing the main quest. Which part? Or are you already at the end of the game?

I'm right at the beginning of the game. Chose Melusine this time and am backtracking w/ her before facing the 1st demon. +::Thumbup

Dear all, there was a glitch in the chicken's quest allowing it to be finished only under certain conditions...
I've fixed it and now it should be completable in any case. Hint: someone mentioned the solution in this thread. +::O_o

I'll include it in the next upgrade, sorry. please note it's not possible to fix it once you've started your savefile already.
i'll probably let you know here when the new version is available ^^
