There are a lot of inconsistancies in this game. My quest book was not always updated in a timely manner, and you could only see the current quest-past completed ones just disappeared.
Example, I already had the flying machine, and was flying it, but my quest book still said to obtain the machine. It wasn't updated until the King died and I got the Rhyanna quest.
There were a few instances where someone in a village appeared to have a sidequest but nothing ever came of it.
example woman weeping for her brother, but we never heard anything about him again. I went back after going to the other village but the woman is still crying
One glaring inconsistancy:
After the King dies and Calliope's group returns to the throne room after completeing the dungeon past the door that opens behind the throne, Vincent says Lady Rhyanna stole Calliope's necklace. So they go to Abyssal Palace to get it back. Yet the 4 crystals in the room before the Goligiath (sp?) "react to Calliope's necklace." Then in the next room Rhyanna says she has the power of the Arfae and has the necklace. Then I got the error message "Unable to find file audio/SE/Monster5" and the game crashed.I fixed it myself by copying/renaming another SE file.
This was a very expensive game and I have to say that while it was enjoyable, it seemed to have been rushed out with not a lot of attention to detail, and quite a few game stopping issues. These should have been worked out during beta testing, not by the people who purchased a $20 game. I have played all of Del's games and they are usually very good, and I bought this based on previous experience, not the quality of the demo. Unfortunately I don't think this game lives up to the quality of past ones.
