Yep there are different directions.When your at the rest stop the left takes you to the haunted city while the right takes you to an inn with two different directions. Going north takes you to a very special fort and east takes you to the other island. From there it's pretty straight forward. Your currently at the haunted city, as you continue along you will encounter new enemies. My project in development has enemies on the map, that is also where you will fight them.

When I try to go right from the rest stop, I get "map 22 is missing" and the game shuts
down. Is that because it's the demo? Don't want to buy if I'll encounter that in the
complete game!! +:::|

I'm really stuck. Have been to haunted city, Castle and been given Kings sword, cave and pressed in two coloured buttons and recieved speed up. Been into magic area and bought a wand. I cannot seem to go anywhere else. At level 22 now.

Please advise me where I can now visit from here. Have tried all routes from the home town. Just going around in circles.

Clearly there are areas beyond the haunted city but cannot find any roads to get there.

There isn't anything beyond the haunted city except the wand place, have you been to the mine in the city before the king's palace? There are difficult enemies but lots of stuff. If you want to go home you can just use the teleporter in the King's palace.

Oh. That's disappointing. Got loads of money and no where to go. The map suggests more places to explore. Thank you for your speedy reply. that's me finished then. +::cry

I see what you mean, the place behind the haunted city is actually the place where you receive the wand. When you go into the fort and go through the tunnel, you end up over there. If you want to you can increase your stats at the wand place. You can also buy mithril armor if you haven't already. But yep that's the end of the game, my next game will have probably about 13 hours of game play.

I was very disapointed in this game. Your father tells you to go explore but he doesn't tell you what you are looking for. When I leave town I can't take but a very few steps before I have to stop and fight.
The game seems pointless.

I totally agree - there was no storyline no seemingly quests or anything except fights- Very Disappointing+:: +::cry

I'm sad to hear that you were disappointed, Gold and Glory was not suppose to be a story based game. But thank you for your comments, I'm fixing all the things that were wrong with Gold and Glory in the sequel.
