The more the merrier, right? +::biggrin
Btw, I still remember this sentence from LP3, where one of the mini-bosses in Mosquito Swamp (it was the big Panda, I believe) said this and then summoned three minions and those "wiped the floor" with my party...

Well, I know your busy polishing the game, but can I ask just how far are you in completing percentage wise? I think all of us are curious as to rate of progress this game is coming along in, and I think... maybe 75% complete and polished?

It's hard to give a percentage. I'm moving along quite fast but the game has:
* quite a lot of maps (areas)
* quite a lot of cut scenes
* quite a lot of dialogs AND interaction
These take time...

Yeah, I understand what you mean. I just started game-making on the RPG Maker recently myself as a hobby, and I understand just how difficult it is. Dreaming up the idea and then programming it down on the screen can end up differently than what you expected. I guess estimating the scale of how large Millennium 5 will be, there is a lot of work to be done. I'm pretty sure that everybody will be satisfied by the results.

Back on topic, there was something I've been meaning to ask:

Please tell me that all the party members will have better stats than they did in MM4. It was really frustrating that one person could do so much damage and take a lot of hits in the previous games... and then relatively be a walking meat shield the next. At least I hope we get more Mystrock Kimonos for the rest of the party or better armor and equipment to help them survive.

Yes the characters will improve since they first started training with their fists. :)

Last night at work, I got to thinking again...
Considering what happens to certain characters in some other games (LF and Asguaard come to mind), and the amount of emotional involvement that players are encouraged to develop in these longer games, a question arises:
How many "good guys", i.e. Marine's family, friends, and teammates, are going to get through MM5 alive? Will Marine even get to see her sixteenth birthday?

An unrelated topic, I believe:
Why does Merryl wear rags? Aren't Mystrock residents supposed to be wealthy? Can't he afford decent clothes, or does he spend all his money on beer?

While it is a possibility that she dies, how would that happen though? The showdown is not about killing your enemy...

He, err, likes it. +::Dunno
Suits his lifestyle of drinking beers, bullying people and harassing gorgeous ladies perfectly. +::O_o

Yet the regular residents sneer at the peasants in their rags. I wonder if they sneer at Merryl behind his back. Sure, they respect his brute strength, but that doesn't mean they want to associate with him.

It depends. Some admire him. Double standards are a specifity of mankind as a whole.

You didn't develop the possibility of Marine (or anyone else) getting killed?...

Well, I did notice that you didn't really answer the questions. I don't expect you to, but let's just say I wouldn't be surprised if at least one important character doesn't make it to the end. Maybe there'll be an "accident" if Marine's team somehow looks like it's going to win... I wouldn't put it past Borgon or some of his allies.

Yes the "accident" is what they've been after ever since they took notice of Marine.
But why wait for the showdown then? +::shhhh +::whistle +::biggrin

The Mystrock team doesn't expect any real competition. They may be overconfident. Borgon most likely wouldn't resort to such drastic measures as murder until he feels really threatened, which wouldn't be until the showdown is well underway.
