I should add, it's a big game (with a lot of possibilities and intricate dialogs). Plus my private life went a bit in the way.

That is a great thing to know, as you don't have any estimate release date. How about post some teasers?

I look forward to playing through those possibilities when it is fully ready.
I also hope things are better in your private life. There can be many bumps along the way sometimes!

The first part of that statement is not a surprise. As for the second part... I HOPE the private life stuff was all good and positive??? ;)

Thanks for the messages of support. Private life is OK, it "just" makes me busier than it should. :)

I usually don't like bringing my "problems" into the forum and prefer keeping them in real life, but that it doesn't mean that (like everyone else) I don't have them too. MM5 is considerably bigger than the previous episodes and the final battle sequence involves a lot of work with scripting, testing, etc. I also wanted to have new graphics in the game and I've shared quite a lot of screenshots so far but right now the game is near completion and I would also like people to be able to be surprised with the game when they finally get the chance to play it.

I wonder if some of the people who are disappointed about MM5 not being out yet have ever had a big long-term project, either at school, work, or home, that they have done. Things like building a house, writing a thesis, finding a good job, or for me a research project I have literally worked on for about 4 years (or playing enough of WOW to find that it just isn't my kind of game). It's usually never just one major thing that delays those types of projects, it's a bunch of smaller ones, some of which didn't seem that important at the time, that are the biggest time-sucks. At some point it becomes +::surrender and you realize it will be done when it's done, not when you want it to be done.

Yes it is. :)
The game is a) definitely not on hold b) finished but needs beta-testing to iron out the bugs and fine-tune it.
The latter does take time but hopefully not that much. I won't give any date for any game from this point on though.
I *am* pretty reliable with my dates *if* my real life is in a routine. When it isn't (and this is impossible to guess in advance), release dates are naturally postponed.

Just saw the MM5 teasers in the newsletter and I confess that I got all excited again for the game. I admit that I was losing interest with the lack of information in these last two weeks, but I love those screenshots. All of them in battle kimonos, I bet they're about to get in the arena. +::YAY

And congratz on releasing another game on a different language Indy, very good. Didn't know that Moonchild was released in German. Aldorlea is indeed growing. ;)

the new screenies are awesome!i love the paintings in -i guess- Mystock palace..in the first pic i think we see the fighters' quarters, where they gather and prepair for the fights..the last one is a marvel!is it a beacon, an obelisk, a monument?i think there is the mystrock symbol on it!!!it is very intriguing, thanks Indinera! +::heart
