God of Watchers

God of Watchers

Postby alan123_4 » Tue Nov 24, 2009 2:11 am

Twice today I've defeated the God of Watchers in catacombs. 1st time, got a "Script Hanging" error message after defeat, which was fatal. Re-downloaded game today, tried battle again, using only magic spells of girl (forgot name), and Luby. Defeated again, with same results. Am I doing something wrong? I see no other posts regarding this problem. Thanks for any advice.

Try to make sure that Asguaard is the only program you have running. That seems to fix it for most people. Also, maybe get rid of some stuff on your computer you don't really need. I ran into this problem with LF2 and I found a folder full of music and video files that I forgot I even had. I deleted them and voila! No more script hanging issues. Good luck!

It also helped me when I sold unnecessary items from my inventory. I don't know it that fixed the problem or it was just a coincidence though.

Thanks all for your advice! Removed or disabled all resident programs, including anti-virus program. This time, I was able to defeat this guy without getting a script error. Did not need to dispose of unnecessary items in inventory, but will certainly do that next time I get to a Buyer. Thanks again, and BTW, am thoroughly enjoying this game, as I did all the others from, or recommended by, Indy.

I thougth I would add this. I never had any problems with the "God of Watchers" battle and game crashes and script problems.

I had Grom with enemy knowledge activated to give me a good direction on how to defeat the "God of Watchers" Maybe some gamers will use the RUSH system and hope for the best. Some battles require strategy and you need to understand the skill set that your characters have at that time. My characters are not gurus in everything so I manage to defeat the "God of Watchers" based on what the game character skills are at that moment. This is what makes the game that more fun and challenging to play. In my opinion it is good to understand the skills and current equipment you have found or purchased in the game. I like a challenge and it took me two tries to defeat the "God of Watchers".

In that battle I used Glen for summoning and some healing.
Grom was good for a particular skill? and of course I like the enemy knowledge skill. It is needed.
Rayanne is in my opinion essential and you must keep her alive
Luby is good and there are a few good skills needed to win and very important.

Sometimes battles take time and the God of Watchers has over 28000 HP.
I like long battles because you need to really understand what skills your game characters have combined with equipment and of course what types of items you have at your disposal. +::YAY
