Little white outlined boxes

In the guide, on the map and in towns are these little white outlined squares, what are these for?

Does anyone here know?

If you are speaking about what I think you are, that just means that the map shot is showing where there is a bit of coding for the game (called 'events'). That covers an enormous range of things. Ignore them.
