When you get Oombar to join?

2nd time through this game and would like to know when is the time that you can get him to join. I know Ashkbar & possibly Luci must be in the party for this to happen but when........?

Are you sure that it's Oombar? I have no recollection of him joining, and have checked my save files (well, a couple of them) and he's not in the party, nor in my notes on getting everyone through the Arena.

Do you mean Oglong by any chance?

Yes, Oombar is not a playable character. If you mean Oglong, it happens in Random's body, and the whole getting him thing is a bit tricky, but easily possible.
