Hey,

I was hoping that someone could let me know which merchant at what town gives you 50 gold coins for gems. I am at Kandara and the best price is 35 and obviously I can get more as it states that honest merchants will buy it for 50 coins. Any feedback is appreciated, many thanks.

There's a skill you can get in Kandara, expert mercantile, which makes them sell at a better price. Get it is you don't
have it! He is Shanak in the section left of the inn where all the vendors are...it helps!!

Thanks Titaness, I had acquired that skill previously but was there still no change in how much the gems were bought for. Never mind, I have 15K, I am sure that is enough to stock up on items and purchase better weapons/armour. I can always kill more of those evil sharks.

I really appreciate your help Titaness, thanks again, and I hope that you are enjoying Asguaard as much as I am, it is very addictive.

I just bought the mecantile skill. but when i go to sell things to the shop the seem lower not higher any reason why???

Yep, I noticed that too. The best shop before Savioropolis is the stall in the marketplace in Kandera, as was mentioned previously. I checked the Blue Gem as a standard, but the other ones are about the same percentage of the "best" price.

I made a list of the prices and sale cost of the blue gem over at the Shop Item List thread. I never noticed any price changes at all. When I got to Savioropolis, I checked the sale price of the blue gem in the Weapon Shop, then I went to the shop next door, where I got Master mercantile, then I went back next door and the prices were still the same. I can't absolutely prove it, but I think the prices never change anywhere. Sorry....

It's actually when you SELL your own stuff that the changes occur. +::Thumbup

Ah, well since I'm incredibly rich I haven't had to sell anything lately. Only wish that were true in real life! I've only been using the Blue Gem as a basis for comparison. Wrong thing to do to check? Thanks.

The prices of the items do not actually change, but you can sell your stuff at better rates with the mercantile skill.

Another good place to sell items (at least Blue Gems!) is Krazimir, at one of the shops only, though, at 35G. (I now supposedly have Guru Mercantile skill).
