Can anyone tel me where I can get the laser item to use on the mysterious creature in the cave? Thanks

IIRC They do sell it at the institute, on the first floor... Not sure which NPC, though.

iirc, it's the guy standing with his back to the wall facing right, more or less in the middle.

Yeah, he also gives you a quest to kill a bug too, now that I remember.
